Joey’s highly recommends shipping to a commercial address because it guarantees a better rate, faster delivery and requires a recipient signature which ensures that someone will be present to care for your package immediately. If you must ship to a residential address, you can request that the package be left at the door. However, the decision to leave the package is left up to the discretion of the UPS delivery driver. Joey’s will not be held liable in the event that no one is present to receive and refrigerate your package. Please provide a daytime phone number and a physical address, not a PO Box, APO or FPO. Joey’s will not be held liable for an incorrect address which causes delays in shipping. A $10.00 UPS fee will be passed on to you for address corrections and you will be notified by e-mail. Shipping charges are determined by weight, origin & destination zip code and the method of shipping selected.
If you require delivery on a specific date please refer to the table below to choose the correct shipping method. Should any requested items be on back order we will notify you prior to shipment of your order. For this reason, please make sure we have daytime contact information. An e-mail with tracking information will be sent once the order is ready to ship.
Orders normally ship within 24 hours of receipt depending on the type of shipping you choose. For example, if you place an order on Wednesday after 9:00am and select Next Day shipping, it will ship Thursday. However, if you place an order on Wednesday and select 3 Day shipping, it will ship the following Monday. Joey’s typically ships on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Saturday deliveries can also be arranged and will incur a $15.00 fee, but we will not guarantee the package or the contents. UPS Next Day Air, Air Saver is available Monday-Thursday
UPS 2nd Day is available Monday-Wednesday
UPS 3 Day is available Monday and Tuesday
UPS Ground is available Monday-Thursday depending on the destination zip
All non-perishable items can be shipped Monday-Friday via UPS Ground.
Perishable products are packaged with dry ice and/or gel packs in a reusable insulated container. We package products with enough dry ice to ensure they will remain at a safe temperature regardless of the shipping method you choose. Normally the perishables will remain frozen for one day after the dry ice has sublimated. Due to reasons beyond our control, such as bad weather, delays in shipping, etc., occasionally a product may arrive partially frozen. Should you receive any products that have frost on the outside of the packaging or show slight signs of thawing, keep in mind that the temperature of these products should be below 40 degrees. These products can be placed in either the refrigerator for immediate use or stored in the freezer.
Due to the nature of our perishable products, we are unable to accept returns on any perishable product. All perishable sales are final. Shipping and packaging costs will not be refunded unless the mistake is the fault of Joey’s. Refunds will be authorized only under 2 conditions:
Condition 1) In the event of damage to the product during shipping. In the event that your package is received damaged, retain the package, keep the product refrigerated and contact Joey’s immediately.
Condition 2) If UPS fails to deliver your perishable package in the time specified and your product(s) spoil, you will receive a full refund including shipping charges. However, neither Joey’s nor UPS will be held liable for loss, damage or delay caused by weather conditions or other acts of God, if there is no one home to receive the package or if the package is refused.
